This place is absolutely amazing! Every time we walk in here we are greeted like we are regulars and the service is impeccable. Now for the food.... how in the world did a smal town like this obtain a restaurant with such high quality? Order the Rack of Lamb, Au Poivre..... mind blowing. I would babtise my first born in that sauce!

Went there last night with a bunch of co-workers. Loved the building. I wish that I would have read the reviews prior to going there. The staff was very friendly. However, the waitress, although very nice, was not attentive. Often we had to catch her attention to fill our water. The steak like many reviews stated was not cooked to order. I asked for medium rare and got well done. The steak was very dry. The baked potato and green beans were ok. Nothing to right home about. I ordered a side of scallops. They were cooked to perfection. Great flavor. Because my steak did not turn out I was offered a free dessert. I ordered the lava cake. It was excellent. Unfortunately one of my co- workers ribs were dry and over cooked as well.

Was in Rock Springs this week (again) and at a Coyote Creek twice. There are not many options for better restaurants and one of the few where you can get a steak. Let me start by saying that if you are in a hurry this is not the place. Block out about 3 hours plus if you are in a party of 6 or more. The first night they brought one of our guests steaks out about 25 minutes before the rest and one about 15 minutes after. A friend of mine had a party of 8 seated before we got there and they had not gotten their food when we we're leaving. They also add a 18% gratuity to your tab so look closely. The second time pretty much the same. With the exception they can't seem to get the orders right. Slow, inattentive service. Won't refill drinks. And the staff stands around at host stand talking with each other. I've eaten here probably 6 times and the last 3 were the worst. I'm glad I won't be back in rock springs for a while...

Not that great. Undercooked food, spoiled food, steak that's not beef but pork... Fries were good. Waitress was nice. But would not recommend at all.

Service was great, but prime rib was dry. Granted I did order the end cut, but being early in the night would have expected it to be a bit juicer. Overall had a good time and enjoyed my food.

Food is OK, and service is generally OK. Hard to get a steak cooked properly there. The cooks seem to understand rare and well done only. Portions are small for the price. For the price they charge, I expect top notch service and good food cooked exactly to order with generous portion sizes. Sadly, the steak at Denny's is often just as good for 1/2 the money. On the plus side, the atmosphere is very nice. I live in Rock Springs and enjoy eating out. I'll keep trying back every 6 months or so in the hopes it will improve.

Very good sports bar type restaurant. Everything we ordered was good and the server was attentive.

I was attending a conference in Green River and needed something nice to treat my husband to a birthday dinner. Coyote Creek was recommended by a few locals and came up on both Yelp and Trip Advisor. So, off we went! It was a bit awkward as our waitress was training a new staff member, and they weren't communicating very well. Being in the field of education and training, I tend to have a higher patience for this sort of scenario. However, by the end of the evening, it was quite tiresome and we were ready to leave just to keep from being asked the same question by both waitresses within minutes of one another. Still, I do commend their attentiveness. They overheard a birthday comment to my husband and were prepared to offer him a complimentary dessert. We started with fried mushrooms, which were alright and standard pub fare. I opted for the shrimp scampi, which was pleasantly seasoned and perfectly prepared. The shrimp was neither rubbery or tough. Yay! My husband's lamb, however, was a tad underdone. I honestly prefer this, because we can always take it to go and enjoy later, which we did. For a glass of wine, an appetizer, and two entrees, I was pleasantly surprised with the total bill (under $50). I'm sure locals may find this a bit much, but even coming from Laramie, I found it to be reasonable. I will say that overhearing the conversations of tables around us led to some serious entertainment. My favorite... Waitress: (describing the special -- a grilled mahi mahi with strawberry chutney) Male patron: Oh wow! That sounds great, what a deal! Waitress: It's one of our best seafood dishes. Male patron: Oh, it's fish?! Waitress: (taking orders) Male patron: I'll have the prime rib, medium well. Waitress: Soup or salad? Male patron: Salad with ranch AND blue cheese.

Order chicken inolvetti. They came back and said they were out. Ordered chicken with crab, chicken was burnt and crab was stone cold. Sent it back and got hamburger... It was decent. Still charged me. Oh well.

This is a fantastic place to eat! Restaurant is in an old bank building! Great service and fabulous food!

Food did not taste good. I ordered a New York Stake, it way under cooked, the side salad was horrible and plain. The worst is that it costed me $29!!!!! Very disappointed, I would never eat there again!

First time I've stopped to eat in Rock Springs. Was really good. I had shrimp scampi pasta. Was here for a dinner meeting and everyone else said they really enjoyed the steaks and salmon as well. Will plan to come back.

Way overpriced. $17.99 for a chicken and asparagus dinner. TWO pieces of asparagus! I ordered the baked potato's (then lightly fried, the bartender told me) I ended up with a pile of fried potato's. I asked for extra green onion on the potato's, NOPE. Didn't get it. Asked for lemon's, too a few minutes for that. Asked for A! 1, that too took time to get to me. In the meantime, I asked a passing server for A1 because my food was getting COLD!!! She overheard me then took a little baby step to the A1, which was just at arm's length and gave it too me. BUT she made me wait at least two minutes for the sauce. The bartender was nice and helpful in the beginning, but as she got busier, we were left to fend for ourselves. She never once took a empty plate out from in front of me. They began to pile up and I had to move them to another area. Had to get up for salt and pepper. Not very good with customer service. Would NOT recommend coming here.

This place has really gone down hill. While the service was decent, prices were high, portions were tiny and out of our 3 dinners only one steak was really good. For the money one pays at this joint, the food ought to be very good every time. The large filet would be considered petite at any other decent steak house. A co worker had a NY strip ordered med-rare and it was closer to med-well, small, and nothing more special than a cut of meat from the local grocery store. I guess after several chances I am done wasting my time and money here.

Been here for lunch twice on a business trip. The first time I ordered the pasta, which was huge for a "lunch size". The second time I had the ahi Tuna salad and I have to say that is up there with the best salads I've had. The only negative i have is that service is slow - we looked like slackers returning from work after such a long lunch hour!

Good service and good food pretty much summed up my trip. I dined alone, so I sat at the bar, and the bartender did a great job at keeping everyone covered. He not only was the waiter of everyone at the bar, but had to fill all the drink orders for the other tables. He was working up a sweat, which was a little odd to see, but understandable for all the running around he was doing. The bar had enough tv's that you don't have to feel stuck on any one single program and the restaurant itself is a nice location. I had a tasty steak with good sides, and will be back when I am in town again. Finding a good parking spot, however, was a chore. They seem to share a lot with a YMCA and the street is very limited on spots. I fully expected a 45 minute wait when I got to the door based on the time it took to find a parking spot, but the restaurant was pretty open when I got in. That is about the only ding I have for this place, otherwise it was very good.

Food was great, service was excellent, bartender was friendly and beer selection was very good. There are a lot of TV's around the bar area and the place ended up quite busy on a weeknight. Steak was just fine, overall it was well worth the stop. Best place I have found to eat in Rock Springs.

My husband & I were told how great this place was, so for our Anniversary we drive 4 hours. We are seated at a dirty table and it took forever for anyone to bring us a drink of water. We had to ask for a waitress. The so called "filet mignon" looked and tasted just like sirloin steak, the red potatoes were hard, dry and it took the waitress 45 minutes to bring out the asparagus to our table, then charged extra for it. A $30/ plate meal was thee most disappointing experience that I have EVER encountered !!! This is my first review.....DO YOURSELF a favor and DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT trust this place at any cost!!!!!!!

Three stars come on folks. This place is in Wyoming, not New York City. It was a great place to have dinner and the ambiance was great! Try it you'll love it while your hanging out in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

I don't like to post negative reviews, but I have to. The food is likely from a bag or a can, nothing appears to be truly fresh or original. If you are a celiac (I am not, but I know people who are), you need to avoid this place. The owner does not have a desire to accommodate gluten allergies. The steak is rarely cooked correctly, but if you send it back, be prepared to wait another 45 minutes to have it returned (I like a nice medium rare and have had everything from black & blue rare to an unappealing gray-well-done, but rarely do I get medium rare). The appetizers are mainly fried food, and not great fried food at that. The potato special has never worked out for me either, the wasabi mashed potatoes had an off-putting dirt taste (yes, I've accidentally ingested dirt in my lifetime, so I speak from experience). The service is hit or miss. I've had terrible service, and I've had acceptable service (but never outstanding service). Also, don't expect everything on the menu to be available. Every time I've been here, someone in my party doesn't get what he or she originally asked for. If you are a fan of chain restaurants, you will probably enjoy this restaurant, although it is quite pricey. I am a fan of fresh food, so this doesn't cut it for me.

No, no, no and no. This place gets 2 stars for this: 1. The waitress was very friendly and was working hard. Nice to see. 2. Well placed TV's in the bar. They are hung from the ceiling up high and facing various parts of the bar/restaurant. Very good idea...more places should do this. NOTE: IF YOU ARE DRIVING THROUGH ROCK SPRINGS AND NEED TO CATCH YOUR TEAM AND YOU ARE ON ONE OF THE MAJOR CHANNELS (including, ESPN, the deuce, etc) YOU CAN STOP HERE AND YOU'LL BE OK. Just try not to eat too much. We rolled in late-ish (8:30) and were looking for something "local." We found local but did not find quality. It's a bar with a restaurant around it which in itself is totally fine, it just isn't that good. The food is less than average and while it is not awful, it's priced and billed far north of where it should be. But like I said, if you are sliding to have a beer and catch your team (this is not a sports bar but a bar with a good # of quality televisions showing sports)...you'll be fine.

out of all the actual 'restaurants' in RS (there are like 4, FYI), this is our favorite place to go. i don't know how 'fresh' the seafood actually is, but i'm sure it's shipped frozen- we are a landlocked state, ya know. :) anyway, the seafood is yum. i always go for the shrimp cocktail and snow crab. when it comes to turf, i've had the filet (med rare) and it's always been cooked to perfection. my husband gets the prime rib, and 4 out of 5 times it's been great! the last time it was a bit dry, but nothing to contact the BBB about- ha! overall, the service and food is fantastic. definitely a winner here in RS! p.s.- the cocktails are delish too!

All four of us greatly enjoyed the food and service. Each entree was special and unique. The New York strip was cooked with a blackberry liquor which gave the meat just the slightest hint of blackberry taste. The combination of the meat and blackberry was awesome. The mushrooms ordered as a vegetable were the best all four of us had ever tasted. Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy a good meal.
